Returns Policy

The Consumers Rights Act 2015

Please note law changed from 1st October 2015 and the Sale Of Goods Act no longer applies (unless product purchased before that date). The new law is The Consumer Rights Act 2015

Whereas before the law was unclear as to how many days you had to ask for a refund for unwanted, or faulty items, the new law is set in stone.

A refund would apply if an item becomes faulty within 30 days upon the return to seller of the ‘faulty’ product. From day 31 a replacement or repairable unit will be sent if faulty (the ‘faulty’ product needs to be returned as new, complete etc).

Distance Selling regulations apply for items sold on-line and says if unwanted, it has to be exactly as new, complete and returned within 14 days of the items arrival (returned at Buyers expense). From day 15 it cannot be returned at all as unwanted.

To cancel your purchase within the 14 days, please email us using info@bestwatchcompany.com stating the reason. Please package the relevant item securely and send it to us using a tracked postal service within 14 days following the date that the item was delivered to you if possible please provide us with the tracking information from your chosen carrier .

For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service if the value of the return is more than GBP £40.00

Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us and are responsible for the safe transit of your item back to us. If your item is lost/damaged in transit to us then your are responsible for any loss or damaged to your returned product.

Warranty

If your goods become faulty within the warranty period, we ask that you initially contact us through our email message service. We will then provide you with the information and procedure to follow. Once received back into our warehouse we will test the returned item. 

All returned items must have as follows

  • All original items/box components sent to you.
  • A copy invoice/order number so we can verify your purchase.
  • The reason for the return or problem incurred with the product.

Failure to do this may result in delays in dealing with your item and more importantly void your warranty.

Please package the relevant item securely and send it to us using a tracked postal service. We will then have our team look at your product and contact you with the relevant options, if the item is deemed faulty you will be contacted with the options available to you usually as per terms & conditions to repair or replace. If a returned item is found not to be faulty with the information you have supplied, we will contact you with our findings and return the item back to you, in this instance the return postage will be covered by you.

Should your item be over a 30 day period from the date of purchase and become faulty we will only replace the item with a product that is equivalent to the one originally purchased or an item that is of an equivalent value and specification, if the original item purchased have been discontinued or out of stock. .

Please note all items in the clearance section come with a 30 day warranty period (repair or replace only) from the date the item is received by you the customer. After this 30 day period any item returned will be charged at a standard repair / return cost to you the buyer.

Returns  
We will provide you with the full returns information. Our returns address will be provided with our returns procedure. Failure to send a returned item back to the correct address will result in your claim becoming delayed and possibly void. Once the item is received we’ll issue a refund for the product to your original payment method if the item is within the refund period. If the item has been used i.e. protective film have been removed / box is damaged / items missing you will not receive a refund in full/ if any accessories have been used or are missing then this will be deducted from the refund.


Refunds

A full refund of the original purchase price of an item will only be given to a returned item that is in a resalable unused condition 14 days from receiving the item or any item that has become faulty due to a manufacturer fault within the 30 day money back guarantee period. If your purchased products qualified for free shipping the shipping fee we have waived will be deducted from your refund.

A restocking fee of 50% of the original item will apply if the item can no longer be classed as new. Please note that any items returned which you claim to be faulty or incomplete are checked and verified by our team and if the item is deemed faulty we will repair/replace or subject to terms and conditions refund. If your product is deemed sound and in good working order then you will be informed via email of the options available to you.

Repairs

Please note any item returned for repair which has not been paid for within 60 days from the day we have received it will be recycled. We will have informed you prior to this via email. This will be a final course of action if we have not had any contact from you regarding your item or payment received.

Damaged in transit

If your goods are damaged in transit, we ask that you report this within 24 hours of receipt of the goods as all sent items are tracked and have a delivery time/date. All contact should be done through email message system or you can call us on our support line T – 0113 3720010; Monday-Friday 9:00am until 5:00pm. We will then provide you with the full returns information. Once received back into our warehouse, your item will be tested by our returns department and may take a few days. We will contact you and give you the options available to you.

We will not cover the following:

1.Damaged by user error i.e. being dropped/knocked or damage by liquid.
2.Any product which indicates misuse for example signs of impact.
